Tiny Findings seeks to foster a professional environment focused on lifelong learning. We search for educators with a mix of formal training and practical experience. All of our teachers participate in ongoing professional development.
- Coordinators serve as senior lead teachers and take on some additional leadership and management responsibilities for the larger program. All age-level coordinators are required to hold or be in enrolled in a program leading to a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a closely-related field. Age-level coordinators serve as mentors for their teaching teams and help ensure continuity across the program.
- Lead Teachers hold a minimum of a CDA credential, but most hold or are enrolled in a program leading to a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education.
- Assistant Teachers hold a variety of educational and practical experiences. Some have degrees in early childhood or are working on completing them. Others have completed the coursework required for the CDA credential or currently hold a CDA.
All teachers are required to participate in over 20 hours of professional development each year. Most have several years of experiences working with young children in a variety of settings.
As required by licensing regulations, all of our teachers undergo a criminal background check, physical exam, and training in first aid / CPR, universal precautions, and safe food handling practices.
